Little Handsome Man turned one year old today! Oh my, has this year flown. Has it really been a whole year since…

that first cry

… I held him for the first time

… we first saw those beautiful deep gray eyes (which later turned brown)

And so many more memories from that first day. My heart warms every time I think of that blessed day.

And now, how he has grown!

Cowgirl took these in front of the window a few days ago. The lighting wasn’t very good, but after adding a little brightness, lightening up the contrast to remove the shadows, and changing to black and white, I think they are absolutely beautiful.

I LOVE the back of baby heads! Especially this baby with his soft wispy head of hair.

And here is today, on his big day. So happy!

He does have a serious side as well.

But always sweet.

Here is his rubber duckie bubble bath birthday cake.

Handsome promptly took care of any frosting remaining on the duckie.

Poor duckie.

What would a first birthday be without a messy cake picture?
